Mens Shed

From Monday the 8th till Saturday the 13th of September we celebrated all things to do with Men’s Shed.
In celebration of Men’s Shed Week at SAMS, we invited men from other sheds – compliments of the QMSA – to join us for the Tuesday Talk-fest and to partake in some friendship, fellowship and a hearty morning tea.
What celebration would be complete without special guests? We were delighted and honoured to have both our local Queensland State MP Nikki Boyd and Ruth Logan from the Prostate Cancer Foundation come along and help us celebrate Men’s Shed Week.
Nikki has always been a keen supporter of SAMS and fulfilled her ‘condition of entry’ by bringing along not just one delicious chocolate cake, but three! Ruth brought along her vast knowledge of prostate cancer and delivered an informative and educational presentation.
All in all…….it was a very enjoyable and successful Tuesday Talk-fest.
